          Here is a list of businesses in and around Dunfermline that can help you reduce your single-use plastic. Of course there are others but here are a few to get you started. Sadly many of these have had to close in light of the current lockdown. When they get back up and running again, remember to take along your own tubs, jars, boxes and bags.

          Zero-waste shopping in Dunfermline

          47 James Street, Dunfermline. Claire runs this brilliant shop which sells 'scoop-your-own' dried foods, washing and cleaning refills and eco-friendly body care products supplied by local makers.           Bankhead Farm Shop

          Local farm selling 'plastic-free' fruit and vegetables

          Run by Nancy and Stewart Wishart sell fruit and vegetables, much of which they grow themselves. Open between November and May, Bankhead Farmshop is located on A985 by Cairneyhill. Bankhead Farm Shop is a Plastic Free Champion Business

          Woodlea Stables

          Fabulous homemade bread, and fruit and vegetables

          Located at Inverkeithing Road, near Crossgates, Woodlea stables sell fruit, veg, home-made bread, cakes, homegrown eggs and other local farm shop products. Open Friday - Sunday. Click on the photo for a link to the website

          McQueen Dairies

          Milk deliveries in glass bottles

          McQueen Dairies deliver different types of milk including organic in Dunfermline twice a week. Click on their logo for a link to their website.

          • Grain and Sustain, 135 High St, Burntisland:  Refills for washing up liquid and laundry products.
          • Health Food and More, 132a St Clair Street, Kirkcaldy : Refills for shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, washing up liquid and laundry products.
          • Pillars of Hercules, Falkland, Fife : fruit, veg (mainly grown on-site), lots of eco-friendly products in their farm shop.  Plus a lovely café and organic fruit and veg deliveries
          • Real Fife Nappy Library; reusable nappies, that you can try for free, rent, or buy.  And it's right here in Fife!

          • AnythingButPlastic.co.uk sells toiletries including shampoo bars, dentatabs, toothbrushes, suntan lotion and lots of other really useful stuff, including paper tape!  Browse the website and see what plastic necessities of yours you can replace with a plastic-free alternative.
          • Cheekywipes.com sells reusable baby wipes, make up remover pads, sanitary towels and period pants
          • Earthwise Girls sells Feminine Hygiene Products
          • www.ecoegg.com sells laundry products and refills
          • noplasticshop.com sells plastic free items for kitchen, bathroom, hair, teeth and children.  They also have make up in bamboo containers.
          • Whogivesacrap.com sells toilet paper and kitchen towels.  Half their profits go towards building toilets in the third world.
