We are delighted to have a talk from the Plastic-Free Fife’s Plastic-Free Periods group about the great work they're doing to raise awareness (including lobbying local and central government) about the impact of plastic-based period products on our ecosystems. Come along and learn more about the reusable period products available, hear about the group's challenges and successes so far, and share your own ideas about how we can turn the tide on menstrual plastics.

Climate Fresk - 22nd of October - Planet Velo, 10 Canmore Street
A discussion and activity based workshop to learn about climate change.
On 'Make a Difference Day' Plastic-free Dunfermline is organising a brilliant educational interactive workshop on climate change by signing up via the Eventbrite link below.

The workshop will take 3 hours. It will include ice-breaker games, group work, and brainstorming activities. There will also be a break. Refreshments will be available. This event is not open to children.
The spaces are limited to 12 attendees so sign up to avoid disappointment.
Tickets are £3/person and free for Plastic-free Dunfermline members. Memberships can be purchased on www.plasticfreedunfermline.org.uk/join at £5 for individuals and £10 for families.

Relove your clothes - Clothes upcycling with Plastic-free Dunfermline, at The Craft Room

Do you have some old clothes that cannot be worn anymore or whose shape you want to change? Or maybe you like crafting and giving items a second life?
Or would you just like to have a nice time in lovely company?
Join Platic-free Dunfermline for a clothes upcycling workshop and let your creative ideas shine! Please bring you old clothes and tools that you wish to use. We will also prepare with clothes, tools, other material and ideas to share with you.
Children are welcome! No sewing experience is needed!
Litter Pick #5 on Dunfermline Cycle Path
12 March, 10am
Meet us near the Queen Margaret Train Station at 10 am, at the end of the cycle path to pick litter and clear the plastic tree guards along the bike path.
Come wrapped up warm and bring your own gardening gloves if possible. If you don't have any, we can provide you with a pair.
If you have some garden scissors bring them to remove the tree guards.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
22 February 8-9pm, on Zoom
This meeting will be hosted over zoom and will be available for anyone to join.
You simply must join us. You will get to meet the PFD committee, hear about what we have done over the last 12 months, and our plans for the year ahead.

Litter Pick at St Margaret's Marsh, Rosyth
Plastic-Free Fife is organising a clean-up of St Margaret's Marsh on 13 June, 10:30 -12:30
The clean-up is being organised by Plastic-Free Dalgety Bay, Plastic-Free Charlestown, Limeklins and Pattiesmuir, and Plastic-Free Dunfermline. All three groups are members of the Plastic-Free Fife network, that is working to reduce unnecessary single-use plastics throughout the Kingdom.
- Litter pickers and bin bags will be provided
- Bring you own durable gloves
- Latest Covid guidelines will be followed
- Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- The event is covered by Surfers Against Sewage public liability insurance and the collected waste will be removed by BEAR.
How to get thereWe will meet for a briefing at the entrance to St Margaret's Marsh at 10:30am. This is located on the west side of the B981 to North Queensferry, just before the flyover for the Queensferry Crossing.
