We had a fantastic response to our recent survey where we asked you to tell us about your single-use plastic habits and challenges.
Over 100 people submitted a response - a big thanks to all of you.
We have collated the results showing the most popular choices to each question. The results can be shown by clicking on this link.
We will be analysing the data from all the responses and will look for projects and actions that we can take to help the people of Dunfermline reduce their single-use plastic - we will be looking for your feedback on these options too.
We are delighted to announce that Dunfermline has been awarded Plastic Free Communities status by national charity, Surfers Against Sewage!
Dunfermline receives this award in recognition of the commitment of local businesses, schools, community groups, organisations and people to reduce their unnecessary single-use plastic, and Dunfermline becomes the sixth and largest (by population) community in Scotland to do so.
We thank all these people who have helped us on this journey and those who work so hard every day to eliminate whatever single-use plastic they can – this award is for you!!!
Great turn out at PFD's 1st AGM!
We hosted our first event of the year on 2nd February - our AGM. There was a great turn out of people who were keen to hear about what we have been up to. The new management committee was elected and includes two new people, Jess Leech and Sid Akbar - we're so glad they have come on board.
The evening was rounded off with a fabulous talk from Claire Nicholson from Happy Earth Place.
